Bang, Wang Yu’s faithful eunuch, finds out that the Empress wants to kill Prince Maha. To save Maha, Bang tells SeungNyang that Maha is actually her son. SeungNyang goes to save Maha, but Maha is shot a poisoned arrow. SeungNyang exposes the Empress as having tried to assassinate Maha. Without revealing that Maha is actually her son, she tells the court that Maha is not Tanasiri’s son and that Tanasiri killed the monks who knew the truth.

Wang Yu finds out that Maha is his son and begins spending time him.

Bayan has become a tyrant just like El Temur. Consequently, SeungNyang and Tal Tal conspire to kill him.

Togon is slowly being poisoned, and the identity of the Eagle House’s leader is finally revealed. Eagle House is financially ruined Wang Yu and his men. Tal Tal and unknown Togon and SeungNyang, Wang Yu gives the grain he took Eagle House to help feed the starving Yuan people.

Tangqishi finds out that Maha is actually Wang Yu and SeungNyang’s son. Conniving the captain the imperial guards, he attacks Togon and SeungNyang their way back the palace.

Because of Tal Tal and SeungNyang’s request, Togon restores Wang Yu King Koryo. But to protect SeungNyang and her secret Maha, Togon betrays Wang Yu SeungNyang’s investiture as the new Empress.

SeungNyang uses her position Empress to rule Koryo proxy. She also stops the Koryo concubine tribute.

As rebels threaten the Yuan capital, Tal Tal advises SeungNyang to escape the Mongolian grasslands.
